I enjoyed the first book very much (free) so thought I would purchase the second. More of a novella, but still a good read if you like the genre. The main character has a very complex backstory, and is likeable enough that I want to know more about her adventures. I'll leave reviews of this book to others, but I do wish Ms. Rylands would sign up for alerts so her readers can be notified when her new books come out (I'm hoping she sees this request). I will be buying her Wendy Lightower series as books are published.Product details

Wendy and company are a welcome diversion. Can't wait for book 3. Story strong, development good, interest level high, only issue (as with other of this type is proofing. Can be distracting. should develop proofing system beyond relying on authors.)
A very pleasant and captivating read. A story well conceived and well written in a true Urban Fantasy fashion. I highly recommend.
Y the to e I got to chapter five, it started to skip pages. It was very difficult to follow. I really want to read this book, but it is too fractured to follow.
I really enjoyed this second in the Wendy Lightower Mystery series. I enjoy the friendship between Wendy and Magda. The mystery was well-written, and I did not guess the murderer! Can't wait until the next in the series comes out!
In my opinion this was even better than the first book. I'm happy with the way Wendy's story is headed. If the next book is this good, then the author has a fan for life. A quick read that just flies by. I can't wait for number three.
It seems librarians are heroic in a lot of fiction these days and Wendy is no exception. She's a reluctant witch and investigator but manages to get drawn into things in spite of that. I find this series to be unremarkable but pleasant enough and I'll continue to pick them up as they come out.
A fun series! Wendy Lightower is a museum librarian who is also a reluctant witch/investigator on the side. In this book Wendy gets a new assistant Leda who is very intuitive and when Leda's roommate is murdered and Wendy's friend Magda gets kidnapped it's time for Wendy to put aside her reluctance and use her give to see if the two are connected and to find her friend before it's too late. This book has it all, mystery, humor and romance. Ian is back and he's helping her solve the mystery. When they kids sparks literally fly! I am very surprised at the low price of this book. It deserves to be priced higher.
